Genesis History
Genesis is the luxury division of Hyundai Motor Company Hyundai, started as individual models for the model year (MY) of 2009 in Noth America with the single model Genesis. For the MY 2017, Hyundai Genesis was split into a seperate brand name; Genesis, and the Hyundai Genesis model became the Genesis G80.
The Equus model, made for the South Korean market since 1999 were introduced for the MY 2011 in North America. The Equus became the Genesis G90 with the introduction of the third generation for the 2017 MY.
The G70, a 3 Series/C-Class/XE alternative, came to the market with the 2019 MY.
